Getting started
Gazlowe takes about five minutes to set up, almost all of it on this website. You need Manage Server on your Discord server.
1. Add Gazlowe
Click the button above (it opens in a new tab), pick your server and click Authorize. Gazlowe joins with the permissions it needs (no Administrator).
2. Open your server's settings
Log in here with Discord, pick your server, and open the ⚙️ Settings tab. Only server admins (Manage Server) see it. Everything is set up there, with your channels and roles in dropdowns, and changes take effect in Discord right away.
3. Quick setup (optional)
At the top of the ⚙️ Settings tab, ⚡ Quick setup builds the channels and roles you tick, with permissions set. It keeps anything you already have and never deletes or renames a channel, so it's safe to run again.
- 🏦 Guild bank and 📅 Guild calendar: the Guild Banker and Guild Coordinator roles,
🏦┃guild-bankwith the vault panel,📒┃bank-logsfor bankers, and📣┃announcements,📅┃guild-calendar,📝┃guild-signupsand🎯┃soft-reserves. Only Gazlowe posts in these; members use the buttons. - Anything else you want: 📌 INFO (welcome, rules posted for you with a banner, news), 💬 COMMUNITY (general, screenshots, memes,
lfg), ⚔️ RAIDING (raid chat, strats,
📨┃guild-applications), private 🛡️ OFFICERS channels (with🗂️┃applications-review), 🔊 VOICE, and the rank roles Guild Master, Officer, Raider, Member, Trial and Guest. - 🔒 Guest is for pugs: new members get it automatically and only see welcome, rules, sign-ups, applications and the Raid 1 and Raid 2 voice channels. To promote someone, give them a rank and remove Guest. Made a new channel later? Run Quick setup again and it's hidden from Guests too.
Building needs Manage Channels and Manage Roles, which the invite already asks for. If they were unticked, or Gazlowe joined before the invite asked for them, the page gives you a button to add them. Prefer your own channels? Skip this and pick them in the next steps.
4. The guild bank
In the 🏦 Bank section of the ⚙️ Settings tab, pick the bank channel, the bank role (who handles requests, e.g. Guild Banker), reminders and an optional request log. Saving posts and pins the vault panel. Members click 🔑 Open the Vault to request items or gold; each request gets its own thread, and only the bank role can approve it. Deposits and withdrawals from in-game scans show under Bank → 📒 Deposits & withdrawals for officers.
5. The guild calendar
In the 📅 Calendar section of the ⚙️ Settings tab: the calendar channel, the sign-up channel, the calendar
role (who posts events, e.g. Guild Coordinator), your time zone and reminder DMs. 🎯 Soft reserves and
📣 Event announcements have their own sections right below. Then post events with + New event here or /event create in Discord; members
sign up with the buttons on each post. 🎨 Look & event types (also in ⚙️ Settings) adds event types, pictures
and colors.
6. Welcome messages and applications (optional)
Both are on the ⚙️ Settings tab:
- 👋 Welcome messages: greet each new member with a card drawn for them (their avatar, name and member
number, in your server icon's color), or upload your own picture. Write your own message with
{user},{name},{server},{count}and channels like#rules; give new members a role (e.g. Guest); post a goodbye. The page shows a live preview. - 📨 Guild applications: an Apply to the guild button, a private review channel, who reviews, the role approved applicants get, and up to 5 questions. Officers approve, deny and message applicants; the conversation goes through Gazlowe's DMs, so it still works if they leave the server.
7. In-game data (optional)
- Officers (the bank or calendar role) download the Gazlowe addon from the 🛠️ Officers tab and install it.
- Open the 🔄 Sync tab in Chrome or Edge and connect the WoW folder. Bank scans, loot handed out with the
addon and raid rosters then reach the website on every
/reload.
For your members
Members don't set anything up: they use the buttons in Discord, or log in here with Discord to see the calendar, sign up, soft reserve and request from the bank. My data lets anyone see or delete what Gazlowe keeps about them.
If something doesn't work
